Andrea Ceccherini (President, Osservatorio Giovani-Editori) stated: “Economic and financial literacy is vital to fully understand current affairs and has become fundamental if we wish to be active citizens rather than passive subjects.”
A strategic partnership was signed between the six Governors of the Central Banks of France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain and Andrea Ceccherini, President of the Osservatorio Permanente Giovani-Editori.
"The aim is to improve young Europeans' economic and financial literacy and enhance their sense of belonging. The partnership is the result of an international event, namely "Young Factor: a dialogue between young people and the world of economics and finance", organized for 400 high school students from different European countries.
The Governors and the President of the Osservatorio Permanente Giovani-Editori signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The signature formalized their commitment to work together to improve the economic and financial literacy of young Europeans.
The Governors of the six Central Banks have joined the International Advisory Board of the Osservatorio Permanente Giovani-Editori with a personal commitment to this challenge. Andrea Ceccherini, President, Osservatorio Permanente Giovani-Editori, stressed the importance of economic and financial literacy as a crucial tool to fully understand current affairs and promote active citizenship among young people.
